Butter

I was craving some toast today when I realized that I was out of butter. So I went to the grocery store. While I was there, I found a lot of great deals. It's amazing the sales that happen after a hurricane. When there's a hurricane, everyone rushes to buy canned goods and bottled water. Which means there's an overstock of frozen goods and meats. I spent a good hour and a half wandering down aisles, checking out the sales. Even better, it was still early enough that there were hardly any other customers crowding the store. I loaded up on ice cream and meat. When I got home, I was excited about my finds. I was all ready planning what to eat for lunch and dinner; I was salivating at the thought of cold vanilla ice cream to cool me down. But first, I was going to make myself some breakfast. And that's when I realized that I forgot to buy the butter...

Everyone Knows it's Butters!

Butters: That's me!

  1. "Awww hamburgers!" I love Butters, especially during the episode where they showed his tap dancing incident. Oh and tonight on Comedy Central they're going to show the director's cut of the Imagination Land episode.

That is one of the many irritants of grocery shopping...Forgetting the one thing you were really after.

  2. omg - I so love toast. Just reading about it gave me such a toast craving. And I already have butter in the fridge. Very cute about the ice cream blitz post-hurricane.

  3. Couldn't you have looted the butter like everyone else?

  4. Tara, I luv Butters, too! He's so naive and in spite of all the crap he goes thru, he's so upbeat and wise sometimes. Usually, I write a shopping list so I don't forget what to buy; I figured I didn't need a list for one item...apparently, I was wrong.

Snooze, I luv toast any time of the day! I had to go back to the grocery store to buy the butter...That ice cream is going to help me cool off in this heat!

MJ, I would've looted for butter, but my arms were all ready full of alcohol...

  5. It always amazes me how expensive those 'need it now' items are. I went to buy some milk after work the other day, and £54 later I had half filled Car's boot/trunk.

  6. IDV, I usually write a list so I'll know what I need to buy and nothing else; but sometimes, I make the mistake of hanging around the store too long and end up buy stuff that wasn't on the list!
