Lube Job

In early dark hours of the morning, I stopped for some gas on my way home; and lo and behold, the sight that greeted me! I just about slipped and fell when I saw it:

That there is an 18 wheeler carrying lubricants! Quite possibly, it was a Pride Week float. I don't know if it was coming or going. But good gawd, that's a lot of lube!

  2. Buying it in bulk must be a good deal!

  3. That'll last IVD about a week, if that.

  4. Surely that much demand is straining the supply end! No wonder oil prices keep going up!

  5. Every once in a while you hear of a truck like that overturning, and the highway becomes very slippery for a long time.

  6. Hah!...Good photo capture! :)

  7. Dmarks, welcome! If those spills happen, I'd hate to be the one who has to clean up that mess. The road crews must break out the Men At Work and Slippery When Wet signs...of course, adding a Hump sign turns it into a party--and quite possibly in a different type of highway :)

Tara, at first, I thought, holy cow, I must've been drugged 'cause I'm seeing things! Then I thought, that poor trucker must be butt of a lot of jokes ;) Luckily, I had my camera in the glove compartment...

  8. IDV: I do hope you use lube even with the many punters you have down at the docks.

That is a lot of lube. I have never seen trucks like that around here.

I've seen chemical trucks driving around with stuff for chewing gum. They have those acid and flammable warnings on them. Which is why I don't get gum anymore.

  9. CP, I'm very fussy about gum--I only chew it when its sweet, which is about ten minutes; then I spit it out for a fresh one. You know, for that acid free, nonflammable sweet gum taste, there are gum flavored lubes available.

  10. I wouldn't know if there are.

I've heard *winks* there is a strawberry flavoured one.

  12. Cherries can sometimes be a challenge; but with a little work, some careful attention, dealing with them can be a pleasant experience.
